Travel Action Week

Well done to all in your efforts this week to reduce the amounts of cars on the roads. As part of the Big Travel Challenge we had aimed to try to reach the 100 mark for the amount of children that were carpooling/sharing lifts to school, including use of the school bus. We achieved well above this and the final result on Friday 17th February was 118 children shared travelling to school. So well done to all.

Art: Willow Pattern/Chinese New Year

We recently had a visitor from China speak to us about China and Chinese New Year. We learnt all about the Chinese traditions at this time of year. We explored some Chinese hats and clothing as well as some very interesting Chinese Opera masks.
Chinese New Year was on 28th January this year and it is the year of the 'Rooster'.
